Italian Spritz Cookies

These buttery cookies made from a rich dough that is piped into decorative shapes before baking. These cookies are especially cherished particularly during festive seasons such as Christmas, weddings, and family gatherings.

COOKIE RECIPE:

25 g almond flour / (1/4 cup) 

50 g powdered sugar / (1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) 

100 g butter room temp / (7 tablespoons) 

1 egg white  

1 tsp vanilla  

1/4 tsp salt 

140 g flour / (1 cup + 2 tbsp)  


Mix almond flour, powdered sugar and softened butter. 

Add egg white, vanilla ,salt and mix until combined. 

Add the flour and mix with a spatula.Don't overmix.

Put the dough into a piping bag with a star tip.

Pipe out cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in shapes you prefer. 

Bake the cookies at 160 °C / 320°F for 18 to 20 minutes.

Cool down the cookies. If you prefer you can sandwich the cookies with a fruit jam filling or dip in chocolate.
